Meet Dr. Syed Akhter

Dr. Akhter has been a proud Knoxville resident since 1998 and is deeply connected to the community he serves. A “Volunteer for Life,” he is dedicated to providing comprehensive, evidence-based medical care for infants, children, and adolescents. Known for his warm approach and commitment to each family, Dr. Akhter believes great pediatric care begins with trust, compassion, and clear communication.

Outside the clinic, he enjoys singing, playing pickleball, and traveling—bringing the same joy and energy to his personal life that he brings to caring for his patients.
