Background and Credentials

Dr. Herrera was born and raised in the San Fernando Valley. He earned his dental degree from UCLA School of Dentistry and then completed two years of advanced training in General Dentistry at VA Sepulveda in North Hills. He has been practicing in the San Fernando Valley for over ten years. He believes in a conservative approach to dentistry and fixing problems in simple ways that also preserve as much of your natural teeth as possible. He loves to educate his patients on all the options regarding their treatment. This gives them as much information as possible to make an informed decision about their care. He enjoys talking his patients through their treatment, explaining what to expect and the step by step process of their treatment. Nervous or anxious patients will appreciate his gentle, thoughtful and straightforward approach to communication and treatment.

Building relationships is very important to Dr. Herrera. One of his favorite aspects of General Dentistry is getting to know his patients and their families over the years, learning about their lives and occupations. He also has built relationships with excellent specialists in the area, so if he cannot fix your problem he can point you in the direction of someone that he knows and trusts who will help.

Dr. Herrera is a proud member of the local San Fernando Valley Dental Society, California Dental Association, and American Dental Association. He is dedicated to improving his skills and knowledge through continuing education. He loves incorporating new technology and materials while still using and honoring tried and true techniques and principles. Honesty, integrity, providing quality care and doing the right thing are some of his core values.

Dr. Herrera lives in Woodland Hills with his wife, young daughter and their cat. He enjoys the mountain biking, hiking, beach sports, gardening, photography—anything that gets him outdoors.
