Alesha Brady, Registered Dental Hygienist

Alesha was born and raised in Franklin, Idaho. After graduating from the Utah College of Dental Hygiene in 2009 she moved to Alamosa. For as long as she can remember she has loved going to the dentist. Once in college she decided that dental hygiene was her passion. She loves everything about her career and enjoys helping others succeed in their oral health. She married a valley boy in 2010 and they have 5 children. Besides chasing her kids around, she enjoys camping, boating with her family, being in the mountains, traveling, helping on the family farm and yard work.

Soraya Lukondi, Registered Dental Hygienist

Soraya grew up in Alamosa, Colorado. After completing her dental hygiene degree at Colorado Northwestern Community College in 2023, she spent some time living and working in the Denver area. She is thrilled to have returned home to the San Luis Valley, closer to her family. She is passionate about promoting oral health while providing gentle, thorough care to her patients. Outside the office, Soraya enjoys life with her husband, Dylan, and their baby boy, Makoa. Family is central to her, and she brings that same caring, supportive approach to every patient she meets.

Ashya Medina, Clinic Manager, Dental Assistant

Ashya was raised here in Alamosa and graduated from AHS. After high school she moved to Pagosa Springs where she lived for three years but happened to find her way back home! Ashya started working with Dr. Mejia in 2011. She regards education as a high standard and shortly after working in the field of dentistry she received her dental assisting degree from Stradford Career Institute. Ashya enjoys every part of being a dental assistant! Her favorite part is getting to know new people and being able to help them. Ashya also enjoys camping, hunting and just being outdoors with her husband Jose and her two beautiful daughters Tanaya and Taliya.

Kayla Espinoza, Dental Assistant

Kayla was born and raised in the San Luis Valley. She has been in the dental field for 13 years and brings extensive experience as a dental assistant. She earned her Dental Assistant certification in 2012 and has held her EDDA (Expanded Duty Dental Assistant) certification since 2016. Kayla enjoys working with her community and strives to make every patient visit a positive and memorable experience. She has four children of her own and two additional children she’s embraced as her own. In her free time, Kayla enjoys spending time with her husband and children, traveling, hunting, camping, fishing, and enjoying the outdoors.

Janet Romo, Office Manager

Janet is our friendly office manager who can answer your insurance questions and help you maximize your benefits to meet your dental needs. Native of the San Luis Valley, Janet grew up in Sanford and moved to Alamosa after high school. She received a certificate in accounting from TSJC. Janet has 18 years of dental assisting experience and has been our office manager since 2010. Her favorite part of dentistry is meeting and helping people everyday! Janet enjoys spending quality time with her husband Tony, kids Roman and Mia, son-in-law Derek and her Yorkie Khloe.

Brooke Loman, Dental Receptionist

Born and raised in Alamosa, Brooke is a proud graduate of Alamosa High School. She began her professional journey shortly after graduation, gaining valuable experience across a variety of fields. Brooke first joined Dr. Mejia’s team in 2023, took a brief hiatus, and returned in 2025 with renewed passion and commitment.

Known for her integrity and dedication to helping others, Brooke takes pride in creating a warm, welcoming environment for every patient. With a growing interest in the dental field, she is eager to continue expanding her skills and contributing to our mission of delivering comprehensive, compassionate care.

Outside of work, Brooke enjoys traveling, exploring art, and spending quality time with her family.
