Meet Iven Gonzalez, DDS

El Paso native. Graduated from University of Texas at El Paso with a bachelor's in Microbiology
and a minor in Chemistry. Attended the University of Texas Dental Branch (now the University of
Texas Dental School) in Houston, TX and graduated in 2010. I am a current member of the American
Dental Association, Texas Dental Association and the American Academy of General Dentistry. I
continuously search for and take courses that will advance my skills in many areas of general
dentistry, including orthodontics and implant dentistry, to keep me up-to-date with the most
innovative dental procedures available for my patients.
Dentistry is a mix of healthcare and art. As a dentist, I have the opportunity to improve
someone's self-esteem and quality of life dramatically. Being able to smile, look good and chew
food properly for efficient digestion and absorption of nutrients from the food we eat is not
only important for good functional and physical well-being, but for good psychological health as
well. This to me is the most powerful part about dentistry, the ability to have such a big
impact on someone's life on all these different levels, only by restoring their dentition, smile
and eventually their self-confidence.
Many people are afraid of going to the dentist. I see this as a challenge to try to change their
minds. By making my patients feel comfortable and relaxed, in an environment where I can make
their dental experience as pain free and as stress free as possible, most people's dental
anxiety dissipates and melts away. What is left is only ensuring great quality dental work is
performed each and every single day, on each and every single patient.
I love being a dentist, working with my hands, creating art and improving someone's health and
life. I hope you give me the opportunity to one day be your dentist.
