Background and Credentials

Ping Ke Fang, MD, PhD, DDS, is the President and owner of Taunton Oral Health Center. Being an oral health provider with an extensive and broad spectrum of scientific and technological background, spanning medicine, oral and maxillofacial surgery, basic science, and general dentistry, among others, Dr. Fang is able to set the highest standard in the industry and is relentlessly committed to patient wellbeing.

While the main office is in Taunton, historically Dr. Fang has served patients all across the State of Massachusetts, with a good portion coming from one to two hours away. Additionally, Dr. Fang is also a dedicated Oral Surgeon who has served patients in the House of Corrections in the Bristol County Sheriff’s Office since June 2020 and the Suffolk County Sheriff’s Office since July 2025.

Dr. Fang finished his Bachelor’s Degree in Medicine for Dentistry from Zhengzhou University, China; Master’s Degree in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery from Wuhan University, China; and PhD in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and Molecular Immunology from Peking University, China. In 2017, Dr. Fang finalized his last degree, Doctor of Dental Surgery, at the University of Southern California School of Dentistry, Los Angeles, California, USA.

Dr. Fang has extensive scientific insights, evidenced by 13 leading publications, including 10 peer-reviewed journals and 3 books or book chapters. Before entering dentistry in the USA, Dr. Fang worked at leading institutes such as Harvard Medical School, Harvard University, and the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth, before cofounding and serving as Chief Scientific Officer at a leading biodiagnostic company, securing 6 approved patents.

Dr. Fang has been many honor holders at the provincial and national levels, including the 2001 National Excellent Doctorate Dissertations, sponsored by the State Council and the Ministry of Education, the People’s Republic of China. This prize only awards the top 100 candidates from all the fields of social science and natural science across the country, and Dr. Fang was the first one who won this honor in Dentistry.

Lastly, Dr. Fang is one of the world-leading collectors of ancient Chinese art, with many collections that could define or redefine Chinese civilization.
