Dr. Bauer - Returning Home to Serve the Community that Raised Him

Dr. Travis Bauer grew up just outside of Austin, where small-town values, friendly neighbors, and community support shaped who he is today. After graduating Valedictorian of Lake Travis High School, he went on to study Neuroscience at Rice University and earned his DDS from The University of Texas School of Dentistry in Houston. He then completed a surgery internship at UT Medical Branch.

But no matter where life and education took him, home was always calling.

Now, Dr. Bauer is proud to bring his passion for dentistry back to Central Texas. At Hometown Dental, he blends high-quality care with genuine hospitality - offering a modern experience grounded in familiar values. Whether you’re new to the area or a lifelong resident, you’ll feel right at home.

When he’s not in the office, you’ll find him hiking the Hill Country, running along the trails, or sharing a good book and a better cup of coffee. His love for this region runs deep - and so does his commitment to serving the community that helped raise him.
